Since the Grammys are going to be on this Sunday I thought it would be fun to show some classic clips from previous Grammy shows. Here is a clip from 1998 when Bob Dylan was singing 'Love Sick' and the guy with 'Soy Bomb' painted on his chest started dancing. Bob did not even break stride and kept singing. It took security a little while before they realized the guy was not part of the act.
Here is Conan's last speech on his last 'Tonight Show'. I thought he showed a lot of class.
Tom Hanks was a guest on the show.
Neil Young was the musical guest on the last show.
Will Ferrell along with an all-star band of Conan on lead guitar with Ben Harper, Billy Gibbons and Beck. Will sang 'Freebird' and took time out to make out with his very pregnant wife during the guitar solos.
After watching the Vikings beat the Cowboys last weekend, Prince was inspired to write a song for his hometown Vikings. The song is called 'Purple and Gold'.
I hope everyone had a good Holiday. I should be able to get back into the swing of posting more on a regular basis since the holidays are now over. Here is a cover of Velvet Underground's 'Pale Blue Eyes' by R.E.M..
I am a regular guy in my mid-forties. I have a lovely wife and three great kids. When I was in College my friends and I were always into music. As people's lives get busier with family and work it is difficult to keep abreast of new music. I have created this blog to expose people like me to some new music as well as old favorites. Please take a listen and go out and support the artists you like. I appreciate you following the blog and I would love to hear your comments.
The MP3s are for sampling purposes only. My hope is that you will go buy the album if you like what you hear. If you have any complaints, please contact me directly.
