My friend David is a fan of The Heartless Bastards. The female lead singer has a very haunting howlish voice. The band is originally from Ohio and now resides in Austin, TX. They were discovered by Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys.
The Heartless Bastards just announced that they will be touring with Wolfmother this fall. They will be in Dallas at the House of Blues on Oct 29. This show should be interesting because it offers a contrast in styles. Check them out.

Did Siegs really discover this band? The lead singer kinda sounds like his former...aka Sug.
It is a different David. I am not sure how much new music Siegs discovers these days with 2 little kids running around.
