a-ha Calling It Quits

After 28 years together, a-ha is finally calling it quits.  To be honest, I did not know they were still around.  I guess they got a lot of mileage out of "Take On Me".  They have just kicked off a farewell North American tour if you want to go see them one last time.

T.A.M.I. Show

I just recently purchased the T.A.M.I. (Teenage Awards Music International) Show DVD. The show was was released in movie theaters in 1964 but it has never been made available on video or DVD until recently.  It is a great DVD because it has a lot of great artists on it like The Beach Boys, Chuck Berry, Marvin Gaye, Smokey Robinson, The Supremes, James Brown and The Rolling Stones.

Record Store Day

I know it is old school but today is Record Store Day so go out to your local independent record store and buy something.  Good Records in Dallas is having a 10th anniversary party with bands all day.  I hope to get over there after kids' games today.
