Feist at the Olympics

Canadian singer-songwriter Leslie Feist performed two gigs last week as part of the Winter Games' Cultural Olympiad arts program, the Calgary-bred songstress played a brand new song called "He Was Free".

Under the Covers


In the original version of "Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa", Vampire Weekend drops Peter Gabriel’s name in the song. Hot Chip convinced Peter Gabriel to do a remix of the song, with a minor lyrical alteration: “And it feels so unnatural, Peter Gabriel too / And it feels so unnatural, to sing your own name.”

NBA All-Star Weekend in Dallas

The NBA All-Star game is in Dallas this weekend.  We are going to a Dwight Howard and Alan Houston celebrity basketball game this morning then over to the NBA Fan Jam.

The last time the All-Star game was in Dallas in 1986, Spud Webb won the slam dunk contest.
